December 2005 Update
It's December! I hope your trees are up and you're starting to feel festive! Ok, mine isn't up yet either, so don't feel bad.
I arrived back in Madrid last Tuesday, 29 November, after a missed flight, a few sprints through the Newark and Paris airports, and missing my bags--but in one piece nonetheless. I'm reunited with my bags and spent the day today cleaning and trying to feel "moved in" to my apartment. I'm still amazed at this place God has provided! This is the first place that I've ever lived outside of my parents' house that's big enough for a Christmas tree, and I can't wait to decorate.
I hit the ground running as soon as I got back here. Saturday was our December Oasis gathering, and I was the speaker, so there was no time for jet lag! I think it went pretty well. Now that it's finished, I'm concentrating on a few other things now (in addition to community group): leading worship for our Christmas brunch with Mountainview, developing a logo and icon for Oasis, working on a project in the art studio to be ready for the January Oasis in a month, and lots of planning/talking/praying with my team. Have I mentioned that I love my team and am so excited to be back with them?
That's about all that's going on now--I'm starting to readjust to life here and am just so glad to be back. I'm looking forward to community group tonight so I can get a chance to talk with some people that I've really missed!
Notice the new email addres: kelly@oasismadrid.org. The Mountainview address still works, but as we're developing Oasis I'm going to be using this one and phasing the other one out gradually, so you can go ahead and change it in your books if you'd like :). Hopefully we'll have a basic website up soon so you can go see the cool stuff that's happening in the city center.
I hope all of you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Thanks so much for your prayers and support, and I'll keep you updated!
Praising HIM,
Kelly
